Our library is a unique place in Christchurch dedicated to the discovery of the French language and Francophone cultures. Whether you are a beginner or almost bilingual, here you can find the most suitable resources and tools needed to support your cultural immersion and progression in French.

Lending Policies

Your AFC Membership allows you to borrow items for 4 weeks, and renew them for 4 more weeks. You can renew items by phone or email. For more info about the membership, click HERE.

  • Individual membership: 6 items (books, DVDs, CDs or magazines).  
  • Family membership: 10 items (books, DVDs, CDs or magazines).

Late Returns: Please respect our other members and return your items on time. Items must be returned within office hours.

Damaged or lost items: Any damaged or lost items will be paid back by the borrower based on the replacement value of the items.
