Our Committee


The different branches of Alliance Française owe their success to their remarkable degree of integration in the social fabric of their host countries. Local branches of Alliance Française are associations set up under local law and are administered by local boards.
The board is elected annually by the local membership at the Annual General Meeting, and meets in accordance with the rules of the association.

The role of the committee includes:

  • To plan and implement the activities of the Alliance in close cooperation with the director;

  • To discuss cultural activities carried out by the Alliance;

  • To oversee administrative and financial matters in close cooperation with the director.


We invite you to join us for the 2024 AGM which will be held at the premises of Alliance Française de Christchurch on Saturday 25 May 2024, at 11am. You can download the 2024 AGM notice here.

Election for committee members will also take place on that day - applications should be submitted beforehand by sending an email to enquiries@afchristchurch.co.nz
