The different branches of Alliance Française owe their success to their remarkable degree of integration in the social fabric of
their host countries. Local branches of Alliance Française are associations set up under local law and are administered by local
boards.
The board is elected annually by the local membership at the Annual General Meeting, and meets in accordance with the rules of the
association.
The role of the committee includes:
To plan and implement the activities of the Alliance in close cooperation with the director;
To discuss cultural activities carried out by the Alliance;
To oversee administrative and financial matters in close cooperation with the director.
